Walk-in Backrub and the European Shiatsu School offer a 2-day certificate on site massage course for practitioners of massage, bodywork or beauty therapy .The European Shiatsu School On-Site massage course will by contrast, equip you with the most comprehensive resource of techniques, pressure points, professionalism and support and also the opportunity of being offered work at one of our Walk-In Backrub massage centres (i.e.Neal's Yard, Charlotte Place, Selfridges, and also as a backrub practitioner that visits various offices within companies. On Site chair massage is an immediate stress buster, working to relieve tired aching muscles in the short term and, due to it's ability to relieve stress, maintaining overall health in the long term.
Our chair massage sequence is based on the techniques of Shiatsu and Anma, traditional Japanese body work systems. It incorporates over 60 specific stress release points on the head, neck, shoulders, arms and back, to leave the client relaxed and calm yet energised and alert.
The massage sequence has been developed to produce the maximum beneficial results for the client in just 20 minutes. Received fully clothed it can be given anywhere from the office to shopping centres, exhibitions and parties.
The European Shiatsu School On-Site massage Diploma course has been designed not only to give a thorough training in on-site massage but also an understanding of the basic principles and therapeutic touch of shiatsu. We believe this is of great benefit to the practitioner and therefore to the person receiving the massage.
The chair massage training is suitable for massage therapists, body workers or students on a bodywork course. Some previous experience of massage or an anatomy qualification is required as a basic knowledge of Human anatomy and physiology is essential.
