Our Japanese style of massage is an effective yet simple form of chair massage therapy that is Shiatsu based.

We have chair massage courses available for complete beginners to massage and for therapists that are interested in on site massage job-opportunities with Walk-in Backrub.

If you are not interested in working at any of the Walk-in Backrub centres, our chair massage training day is also a great course to come and learn the Japanese chair massage techniques that we have successfully used for many years. This is a great way to supplement and support your existing Massage practice and income.

1 day chair massage training course

The On site chair massage training is for massage therapists, who are interested in working in any of our shops, being on our corporate massage list or for massage therapists who want to learn a powerful and successful chair massage routine to attract clients in their own massage practice.

2 day Accredited Diploma chair massage course

Walk-in Backrub & European Shiatsu School (ESS) offer a professional & accredited 2 day On-Site Chair Massage Course in Central London.


The on site chair massage course is accredited by CThA and is recognised by professional bodies and massage Insurance companies.

The course comprises 2 days, and a separate practical assessment.

Beginners Chair Massage Course

Walk-in Backrub offer a one day introductory chair massage course that is suitable for the complete beginner. This course teaches very effective massage techniques and a fantastic routine that is safe to use on friends and family while sitting down on a chair fully clothed.

Advanced Chair Massage Training

Walk-in Backrub offer a one day advanced chair massage training. The Course is designed therapists who would like to learn more Chair Massage techniques. We will also teach you the principles of Shiatsu and show you how to incorporate them into your Chair Massage practice .
